Kuala Lumpur - among the world's top cities

KUALA LUMPUR: It comes as no surprise to City Hall that Euromonitor International has ranked Kuala Lumpur fourth among the world's top cities visited by tourists.
In an effort to promote the city further, City Hall will continue its efforts to attract locals to participate in events organised to promote tourism.
One such effort was the Formula One Malaysia Cultural Festival held at Bintang Walk during the Formula One 2010.
During the event, local dancers taught tourists how to do the joget lambak.

City Hall also hosted the cultural and food festivals where tourists were taught to cook local delicacies such as lemang and dodol, and how to weave the ketupat case. Tourists were also introduced to batik painting. .
Tourists could also enjoy the luxury of five-star dining and accommodation at the price of three-star hotels in the city compared to other popular destinations in the world.

Among the most popular attractions in the city are the KL Tower, KLCC, Sultan Abdul Samad Building, Jalan Masjid India, Petaling Street, Kampung Baru, Central Market, Petronas Philharmonic Hall and the Little India in Brickfields.
