SMK Agama Yan

Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama Yan mula dibuka pada 1 Januari 1997
Sekolah ini merupakan sekolah menengah kebangsaan agama ketiga di 
negeri Kedah selepas Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Agama Baling.
Sekolah ini dibina di atas sebidang tanah seluas 58 hektar dengan kadar 
perbelanjaan sebanyak RM17 juta. Kemudahan fizikalnya lengkap dengan 4 
bangunan sekolah 3 tingkat, 4 bangunan asrama 3 tingkat, sebuah dewan, 
sebuah surau, bengkel KHB, 12 unit kuarters guru, 3 unit kuarter  pentadbir, 
dan 6 unit rumah teres kakitangan sokongan.
Seramai 486 orang pelajar mula mendaftar pada 5 Januari 1997 yang terdiri 
daripada pelajar tingkatan 1,2,3 dan 4.
Pelajar tingkatan 1 dipilih di kalangan murid sekolah rendah di seluruh 
negeri Kedah yang mendapat 4A dalam UPSR.
Sementara pelajar tingkatan 2 dan 3 pula merupakan pelajar terpilih dari 
sekolah-sekolah aliran agama di sekolah biasa.
Manakala pelajar tingkatan 4 pula dipilih di kalangan mereka yang 
mendapat keputusan cemerlang dalam peperiksaan PMR di sekolah 
menengah harian aliran agama dan sekolah menengah agama rakyat.
Selepas beroperasi pada 1 Januari 1998
pentadbiran sekolah diterajui oleh Penolong Kanan 
sehinggalah pada bulan Mac 1997 apabila Pengetua 
pertama, iaitu Puan Hindong binti Ali memulakan 
tugasnya di situ. Pengurusan sekolah yang 
dikategorikan sebagai sekolah gred A ini dibantu 
oleh seorang Penolong Kananseorang Penolong 
Kanan HEM dan 4 orang Ketua Bidang
Sementara jumlah guru ialah seramai 30 
orang dan staf sokongan pula seramai 10 orang.

Sultan Abdul Hamid College - SAHC


The Sultan Abdul Hamid College (SAHC, now Kolej Sultan Abdul Hamid) is a premier school in Alor SetarMalaysia. Formerly known as the Government English School, it is one of the oldest English schools to be established in the country. It boasts of an illustrious alumni roster that includes Prime Ministers Mahathir bin Mohamad (b. 1925) and Tunku Abdul Rahman (b. 1903 d. 1990) and the present Sultan of Kedah, Sultan Abdul Halim (b. 1927). A former student and teacher, Daim Zainuddin, later went on to become the Finance Minister of Malaysia. The school recently celebrated its hundredth year of existence (1908–2008).
The Sultan Abdul Hamid College is also known as SAHC (in English), KSAH (in Malay) or just simply and fondly "College" to the students and teachers of the school. Its yearly magazine or schoolbook is called "Darulaman" (the abode of peace), referring to the Arabic title for the state of Kedah.
Primarily a boys' school, its students comprise of boys of Form 1s to Form 5s and mixed sexes of Lower and Upper 6s. The student population has increased tremendously from the school's early inception: less than 50 in 1908, to more than 1,200 in 2007.
The school administration, under Mr. Mohd. Zainon b. Shafie decided to change the school's mission and vision to reflect increased competition from other premier schools in Malaysia, including Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sultanah Asma, which is located a few kilometres away along Jalan Langgar. The new vision is to be one of the top 10 premier schools in Malaysia by the year 2010.

Tunku Kurshiah College - Seremban - Malaysia

Welcome to Tunku Kurshiah College (TKC).

Tunku Kurshiah College or Malay Girls College was established in 1947, sited at 2 1/2m Jalan Damansara, Kuala Lumpur. It was officially opened by Lady Gent, the wife of Sir Edward Gent, the Governor of Malayan Union.
In April 1962, the College moved to a 22-acre site on Bukit Merbah , Jalan Tunku Kurshiah, Seremban. Its new name Tunku Kurshiah College, in honour of the first Queen was formalised when the college was declared open by Almarhum Tuanku Munawir ibni Almarhum Tuanku Abdul Rahman , the Yang Di Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan on 24th May 1963.
After 56 years of its inception, Tunku Kurshiah College (TKC) stands tall in the forefront among residential schools in Malaysia. TKC has achieved numerous success in both the curricular and co-curricular fields. Each success has been the result of a combined effort from teachers and students. This has been further strengthened by a determination to achieve excellence. In the year 2000, TKC was chosen as one of the schools to participate in the Malaysia Smart Schools flagship application of the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC).
Entry Requirements
Entry into Tunku Kurshiah College is based mainly on a student’s performance in the Primary School Assessment Examination (UPSR) conducted by the Ministry of Education, for Standard 6 pupils.Only those who obtained 5As in this examination and participated actively in co-curricular activites stand a good chance to gain an entry.
The selection is made by the Residential School Unit, Ministry of Education.
